Configurations of Time

For artists who have done a residency, are preparing for one, or for those just interested in creative processes and how artists work within theories of time, Configurations of Time offers a way to rethink the concept of time within the setting of an artist residency. With a decade of experience in various artist residency programs, Angela Serino explores what is put into motion by the experience of being “in residence” that is not immediately visible or quantifiable. Finding inspiration from a wide range of artists’ works and conceptualizations of time in science and cultural theory, Serino looks at how time is spent in residencies through the different and overlapping concepts of space time, care time and soil time.
