Nima Esmailpour is an art historian, writer, and curator based in Toronto. He has contributed essays to various art- publishing platforms across Canada and internationally and served as the curatorial fellow at the 2024 Toronto Biennial of Art. In 2025, Nima was curator-in-residence at Résidence Transatlantique in France, and he is currently the guest curator for the 2026 Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts. During his residency at Est-Nord-Est, he will develop an initiative, Image Ontologies, extending his research focus on the critical study of the image through his curatorial projects.
