Xavier Orssaud

Xavier Orssaud creates installations that become places and evoke a sense of the sacred. With a strong inclination for experimentation, he combines a scientific approach with a pictorial sensibility that is rooted in a broader inquiry into the evolution of materials in contemporary ceramics. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in France and Canada, including at CIRCA Art Actuel, the Biennale internationale d’estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières, and the C14 Contemporary Ceramics Fair in Paris. In 2024, he was a finalist for the Prix Avenir Céramique.
