Biography

Vishal Kumaraswamy is an artist-curator based in Bangalore, India and working across multiple geographies. He has an MA in photography from Central Saint Martins, London, and his works have been shown at the Venice Biennale’s Research Pavilion, CCS Bard College, Contemporary Calgary, the Royal College of Art, SITE Gallery Sheffield, HKW Berlin, the Rencontres d’Arles 2023, and Centre Clark in Montréal. In his curatorial practice, he thinks through anti-caste curatorial models to foreground a range of subaltern art practices. He is the inaugural guest curator at Arts House, City of Melbourne for 2023 and 2024.
