Sophie Dubeau Chicoine

Sophie Dubeau Chicoine is a curator, writer, and arts worker based in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. Her research and practice are driven by anti-capitalist subjectivities, relations, and imaginaries. For her master’s degree in visual studies at the University of Toronto, she explored the transitory nature of relational art practices in community contexts. Her writings have been published by Esse arts + opinions and ESPACE art actuel. She is the author of Labeur d’’amour, a sporadic (loving) newsletter documenting independent art spaces in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal.
