Michael Davidge is an artist, writer, and independent curator who lives in Ottawa, Ontario. His writing on art and culture has appeared in Border Crossings, BlackFlash, and C Magazine, among other publications. He holds an MA in English literature from Concordia University and an MFA in visual arts from Western University. Citation is an activity that bridges his intertextual and interdisciplinary practices. In his research, he is exploring the relationships among aesthetics, education, and politics in order to reinterpret the state of arrested development as a critical position that can maintain an open conflict in the reception of art.
