Marie-Andrée Pellerin is a pluridisciplinary artist from Québec who lives primarily in Austria. In her projects, she explores interactions between the geological and societal realms, drawing on science fiction and on disciplines such as meteorology. She employs a variety of media, including video, sound art, installation, performance, and tufting, and collaborates with musicians, meteorologists, linguists, and writers. Her projects are rooted in specific contexts and have taken shape during residencies in Austria, South Korea, Morocco, France, Belgium, and Mexico. Her work has been presented at Kunstforum (Vienna), ISCP (New York), Škuc Gallery (Ljubljana), D21 Kunstraum (Leipzig), Scriptings (Berlin), 5020 (Salzburg), CCA (Derry/Londonderry), Centre Bang (Chicoutimi), Ada X, and CIRCA Art Actuel (Montréal). Her work received an award from the Canadian Electroacoustic Community in 2024.
