Florencia Sosa Rey

Florencia Sosa Rey is a visual artist based in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. Through a multidisciplinary approach rooted in embodied awareness, she uses abstract drawing, performance art, and video to address the sociocultural history carried by the body. She has exhibited at the Foreman Art Gallery, Drac, Darling Foundry, the PHI Foundation, Centre d’art actuel Plein Sud, Agrégat, and Livart, as well as in Toronto, Sudbury, Iceland, and Argentina. She has received grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, ARTCH, and LOJIQ.
