Originally from the Kamouraska region of Quebec, Diane Morin lives and works in Montréal. She holds an MFA (Open Media, 2003) from Concordia University. Since 1998, she has been working with sound, drawing, light, and DIY electronics to create site-specific installations in which kinetic, sonic, and luminous micro-events take place. Her work has been in solo and group exhibitions at CIRCA (Montreal 2013), OBORO (Montreal 2019), and Paved Arts (Saskatoon, 2022), among other venues in Canada and abroad. In 2014, she was the first recipient of the Prix en art actuel du MNBAQ awarded in collaboration with the RBC Foundation. She has participated in numerous artist residencies, including Opekta (Cologne, Germany, 2014), Nordisk Kunstnarsenter (Dale, Norway, 2017) and DAÏMÔN (Gatineau, 2023).
