Christoph Mügge works with drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. In his recent work, he uses trashcans and various discarded materials to examine ideas of ephemerality, over-stimulation, surplus, and overproduction. Mügge studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Richard Deacon, graduating in 2013. His work has been shown at Aabenraa Artweek (Denmark), arTwins in Open Spaces (Pafos, Cyprus) Bolivar Art Gallery (Lexington, KY), Concordia (Enschede, the Netherlands), Galleri GRO (Pietarsaari, Finland), in Germany at Kunsthaus Rhenania (Cologne), Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen, and Kunstverein Bochumer Kulturrat, and in Sweden at Kristianstads konsthall. He lives and works in Malmö.
