Andes A. Beaulé Is a visual artist who lives in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. Beaulé completed a master’s degree in visual arts at UQAM (2023) with a focus on contestation of norms by queer abstraction and autotheory. They received the François-Xavier Marange Grant (2021) and were a finalist for the Bourse Plein sud (2023). Their work has received support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts and has been presented at Adélard (2023) and Magasin d’Arprim, in Îles-de-la-Madeleine, and in various contemporary-art fairs. Beaulé’s queer and feminist position is inspired by an art community and deep friendships.
