Conceived in the style of an anthology, this retrospective catalog with its oxymoronic title is drawn from the history of Quartier Éphémère, whose original mandate was to hijack places on a transitory basis for the benefit of art, and which evolved into the realization of a perennial venue, the Darling Foundry, dedicated to artists and their audiences. Éphémère Forever retraces the exhibitions and other artistic events presented by Quartier Éphémère through 250 pages of images and memories. This reference work celebrates the Darling Foundry and its exceptional character, and offers younger generations a glimpse of an emblematic era in the Montreal art scene of the 1990s and early 21st century.
