Déry’s analysis of Sterbak’s drawings produced between 1977-2000, foregrounds their indexical function and intellectual underpinnings in scientific/artistic thought. The curator also demonstrates Sterbak’s feminist filiation with Louise Bourgeois, by tracing “a line of intelligence” that connects their work.
