''ORCHARD is a work of public land art that celebrates partnerships and brings members of the art, food, and urban agricultural communities together. ORCHARD is an urban apple orchard that includes rare and eccentric apple varietals, such as White Winter Pearmain, Baxter, Sleeping Beauty, Black Giliflower, Pineapple Reinette and the red-fleshed Pink Pearl, representing Mississauga’s natural heritage. As a future site for engagement, education, reflection, and apple harvesting, ORCHARD seeks to foster enduring connectedness to land, plants, food, and one another. Diane’s companion performance piece YOU ARE A GOOD APPLE was co-presented with the Toronto Biennial of Art and Ontario Culture Days.
