Anne Ramsden
Anastylosis: a principle used in restoration wherein objects and artefacts are reconstructed with their surviving fragments. In her artist’s statement Ramsden suggests that the piece – a collection of broken dishes that have been rebuilt, classified by colour and presented in a warehouse/museum atmosphere – could be considered a “faux archaeology” that refers to consumption and domestic life.
