Throwback to our F26 public presentations

/Thank you for joining us last Thursday for our public presentations, where we tried out a new discussion-based format for the first time!

Over herbal tea and gathered in a large circle, we took the time to chat, look at images, and ask the residents questions. It was a warm and welcoming moment that revealed many connections between their artistic practices.

During the discussion:

  • Aurélia Noudelmann spoke to us about her interest in kinetic sculptures through her video installation at a rate of knots;
  • Frida Jiaying Chen shared her research on the maritime identity of southern China;
  • Lucie Camous gave us a glimpse into her curatorial practice, at the intersection of performance art and crip theory;
  • Pedro Barbáchano introduced us to several historical figures and narratives, including that of the “Unknown Woman of the Seine.”

Judging by your many comments, this new format seems to have been very well received!

Shall we try it again next time?
