We had the pleasure of welcoming you last Thursday for our Open studios, marking the end of the spring residencies.
With great enthusiasm, we toured the studios of each of our residents together. The visit began with Yidan Li, who presented a visual installation based on her research into the influence of spaces on artistic work. Florence Viau then shared her ongoing projects created with clay and other objects gathered along the riverbank. We continued with Rebecca Ramsey’s glass sculptures, inspired by lunar exploitation, followed by Rosamunde Bordo’s wooden sculptures influenced by the world of magic. Finally, Anna Hawkins wrapped up the visits with her explorations in watercolor, drawing, and video on the theme of the cosmos.
After these rich discoveries, the evening ended with our technician Richard’s famous chili — a real treat! Yum! We’ll see you again in July to discover the work of our brand-new group of residents.
Keep up to date with the latest news!
