2026-27 Program

We’re delighted to share with you, in priority, the 2026-2027 residency program! This year, we received 482 applications for the artist residency call and 36 applications for the writer residency call. A huge thank you to Maddie McNeely, Fanny Basque and Mai Bach-Ngoc Nguyen for their generosity in the artist selection process, as well as to Amélie Giguère and Mirna Abiad-Boyadjian for their dedication in the selection of writers.

Spring 2026

April 20 — June 12

Public Presentations: April 23
Open Studios: May 28

The 2026-27 residency program will kick off with the presence of artists Florencia Sosa Rey (Montréal), Heather Rattray (Toronto), Kinga Michalska (Montréal), Sara A.Tremblay (Orford), and author Nima Esmailpour (Toronto). These artists share a common interest in the interplay of social, political, and personal narratives, through which they explore memory, transmission, and legacy.

Summer 26

July 06 — August 28

Public Presentations: July 16
Open Studios: August 20

The summer season will be marked by the presence of artists Diyar Mayil (Montréal), Ruby Reding (Rotterdam), Sun Forest (Vancouver) and Xavier Orssaud (Paris), as well as author Katie Lawson (Toronto). Sharing a conceptual relationship with materials—whether natural or artificial—this group develops approaches that construct counter-narratives and pave the way for forms of storytelling that transcend the human.

Fall 26

September 28 — November 20

Public presentations: Oct. 08
Open Studios — Nov. 12

Our fall residency will reunite Aurélia Noudelmann (Amsterdam), Frida Jiaying Chen (Montréal), Krystle Silverfox (Whitehorse), Pedro Barbáchano (Montréal) and author Lucie Camous (Aubervilliers). Drawing on their personal perspectives, these residents explore stories from marginalized communities and examine the tools and institutional frameworks that determine which stories are highlighted and how.

Winter 27

January 25 — March 19

Public Presentations: February 04
Open Studios: March 11

The year will conclude with artists Didem Erbas (Istanbul), Emma Senft (Montréal), Jan Lütjohann (Helsinki), Marie-Andrée Pellerin (Linz), and author Sophie Dubeau Chicoine (Montréal). Their approach emphasizes working methods rooted in the local community, where issues of ecology, self-sufficiency, and degrowth intersect, thereby reviving traditional craftsmanship.
