A look back at the Interstice: Ramifications seminar

A look back at our Interstice: Ramifications seminar, which focused on the practice of our mentor, Eve Tagny. We extend our heartfelt thanks to her for the generosity with which she shared her artistic approach and enriched our reflections throughout this seminar on resource extraction, colonial relationships with the environment and labor, as well as the ties that bind us to the lands we inhabit.

A huge thank you also to our collaborators, who generously shared their knowledge and passion during inspiring workshops:

  • Elisabeth Cardin, with whom we prepared a meal made entirely from local ingredients—an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with food and the land.
  • Catherine Bélanger and Dave Bernard, who welcomed us to their organic farm and gave us a hands-on look at the realities of market gardening and farm work.
  • Julien Mongeau, who introduced us to local clays and eco-friendly harvesting practices.

Finally, a very special thank you to the participants. Your presence and curiosity led to rich discussions that made this seminar a deeply inspiring experience.

Interstice is made possible in part thanks to financial support from the MRC de L’Islet’s Cultural Development Agreement.
