/ Job Description
The communications and residencies coordinator works in close collaboration with the general and artistic director. The person who occupies this position acts as a bridge between the center, the residents, the members and the community. He or she collaborates in the development of communications strategies and implements them to ensure the visibility of the center and its activities.
The main responsibilities of the communications and residencies coordinator are:
Communications
- Collaborate in the development of the communications plan
- Write, produce and distribute the organization’s communications
- Manage public relations
- Develop audiences and membership
- Strip the general email box
- Attend team meetings
- Participate in the writing of the annual report
Residencies
- Coordinate calls for applications intended to constitute the program of the center
- Plan the arrival and welcoming of residents and ensure follow-ups
- Provide logistical support for the specific needs of artists and authors
- Manage the borrowing of audiovisual equipment
- Coordinate and ensure the smooth running of the center’s activities (public activities, cultural mediation workshops, etc.)
Documentation center
- Classify publications in the documentation center and keep the database up to date
- Organize the organization’s archives according to the policy
Required profile
- Person with interpersonal skills and comfort with various profiles of people
- Great sense of organization and respect for deadlines
- Good ability to work in a team
- Excellent command of spoken and written French
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Know and master the MAC environment, the Office Suite, the Google Suite, Zoom and different communication tools (Mailchimp, WordPress, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Know and master social networks (Facebook, Instagram)
- Interest in the current art world and artist-run centers (an asset)
- Hold a driving license (an asset)
Working conditions
- Starting date: Week of April 8, 2024
- Number of hours per week: 21 hours
- Schedule: Flexible, to be discussed
- Workplace: Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, with the possibility of teleworking
- Salary: From $19/hour, depending on experience
- Vacation: 4% of salary and 2 weeks of paid vacation during the holidays
- Occasionally, be available evenings and weekends during events
